General provisions
These Terms of Service define the rules of using the MapiGO online platform (MapiGO.net) (the Platform), providing services by electronic means under Article 8 of the Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means. The Terms are drafted under Polish law, in particular the Act on consumer rights.
The owner and Administrator of the Platform is a natural person running an unregistered business. The Administrator provides electronic services via the Platform and is a service provider within the meaning of applicable law. The Administrator does not yet have a CEIDG/KRS entry or NIP/REGON number; these details will be provided after a possible business registration.

Acceptance of the Terms: starting to use the Platform is equivalent to accepting these Terms. People creating an Account must confirm that they have read the Terms during registration. The Terms are available free of charge on the Platform in a form that allows downloading, saving, and printing.
Scope of Platform services: the MapiGO Platform allows Users to create profiles, add and organize points (markers) on the map, create groups, share maps and selected items with other Users, and browse public maps and profiles. The Platform includes social features (including following profiles, friend invitations, rankings, and achievements).
The Platform offers a free plan and a paid plan. The paid plan includes in particular:
- use of the app without ads,
- no point (marker) limits,
- access to detailed Google data for points,
- full access to place search,
- ability to change the app color theme,
- personalization of marker appearance on lists.
Detailed plan conditions (including any limits of the free plan) are presented in the app.
The Platform is international. Users may access the Platform from different countries and in different languages. The Terms are drafted in Polish and are governed by Polish law.
No age restrictions: the Platform does not introduce fixed age limits for using its content. Persons under 18 should use the Platform with the knowledge and consent of their legal guardians. The Administrator does not verify users' age.
Compliance with the law: both the Administrator and Users are required to follow these Terms and applicable law.
Definitions
The following terms used in the Terms have the meanings below:
- Platform - the MapiGO online service available at MapiGO.net and in client applications, enabling users to mark places on the map and use social features.
- Administrator - the entity managing and operating the Platform, being a service provider within the meaning of applicable law.
- User - any person using the Platform, both as a viewer of public content and as a person holding an Account.
- Account - an individual User account secured with a login (e-mail address) and password, enabling use of the Platform's features.
- Profile - the User's page containing basic information (for example username, avatar, bio), visible according to privacy settings.
- Point (Marker) - a place saved by the User on the map with metadata (for example name, description, category, coordinates, photos, external data), which can be private or public.
- Group - a collection of Points used to organize content on the map.
- Public map - a map made public via a link or privacy settings, available to third parties.
- User Content - all data and materials entered by the User into the Platform, including descriptions, photos, names, comments in points, and profile information.
- Electronic service - a service provided electronically by the Administrator to the User via the Platform.
- Plan - a variant of access to Platform features (free or paid) with a defined scope of services and limitations.
- Service agreement - an agreement concluded between the User and the Administrator at the moment the Terms are accepted and the Account is created, the subject of which is the use of Platform services.
- Consumer - a User who is a natural person using the Platform for purposes not directly related to their business or professional activity.
Rules for using the Platform
By using the Platform, Users agree to comply with the following rules:
- Access without registration: Browsing public maps and profiles may be available without creating an Account. Full Platform features (including adding Points) require registration.
- Registration for adding content: Creating an Account and logging in is required for Users who want to create their own Points, Groups, share content, or use social features.
- Technical requirements: To use the Platform properly, a device with Internet access and a current browser supporting HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is required. Enabling cookies is recommended.
- Prohibited content: Users must not provide unlawful content, content that infringes third-party rights, offensive content, or content that is misleading.
- Accuracy and rights to content: The User warrants that the User Content they provide is truthful, up to date, and does not infringe third-party rights. For graphic materials, the User must hold appropriate rights or licenses.
- Privacy settings: The User decides whether a Point/Map is public or private. Sharing a map or point link means consent to access by third parties.
- Plan limits: The free plan may have limited features. The paid plan removes limits and expands features as described in the app.
- Account security: The User must keep access credentials confidential and not share the Account with third parties.
- Abuse prohibition: It is prohibited to take actions that could disrupt the Platform, bypass security or plan limits, including attempts to attack infrastructure.
- External data: The Platform uses external providers (including maps and place data). Such data may be incomplete or outdated. The Administrator does not guarantee its accuracy.
Account creation procedure
To gain full access to the Platform, the User must create an Account. The account creation procedure is as follows:
- Registration: The User fills in the registration form, providing required data (for example e-mail address, password) and accepts the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- E-mail confirmation: The User confirms the e-mail address using an activation link.
- Profile completion: After activation, the User may complete the Profile (for example username, avatar, bio) and define privacy preferences.
- Adding Points and Groups: The User may create and edit Points and Groups and define their visibility.
- Sharing: The User may share maps, Points, or Groups with other Users or publicly.
- Paid plan and payments: Purchase of a paid plan is handled by an external payment operator. Subscription and billing details are available in account settings.
- Account deletion: The User may delete the Account at any time, which results in loss of access to data, subject to the Administrator's legal obligations.
User and Administrator liability
- User responsibility: The User is fully responsible for User Content and the consequences of sharing it.
- No liability for third-party content: The Administrator is not responsible for content provided by Users or its compliance with the law.
- External data and maps: Information about places may come from external providers (for example Mapbox, Google). The Administrator does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or timeliness.
- Service availability: The Administrator makes efforts to ensure uninterrupted Platform operation but does not guarantee continuous availability due to possible technical or maintenance breaks.
- Moderation: The Administrator reserves the right to moderate content, block Accounts, and remove User Content that violates the Terms or the law.
- Limitation of liability: To the extent permitted by law, the Administrator is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or access interruptions.
- Force majeure: The Administrator is not liable for non-performance or improper performance of services caused by force majeure or reasons beyond the Administrator's control.
Complaints
The Administrator makes every effort to provide services via the Platform as described. If the User believes that services are provided improperly or in violation of the Terms, the User has the right to submit a complaint.
- Subject of complaints: Complaints may concern improper Platform operation or failure by the Administrator to perform a service.
- How to file a complaint: Complaints should be submitted electronically to: contact@mapigo.net.
- Complaint content: When possible, the report should include data identifying the User, a description of the problem, and the expected resolution.
- Response time: The Administrator will consider the complaint without undue delay, no later than within 14 days of receipt.
Final provisions
- Compliance with Polish law: These Terms and agreements concluded based on them are governed by Polish law.
- Changes to the Terms: The Administrator reserves the right to amend the Terms for important reasons, including changes in functionality, law, or Administrator details.
- Acceptance of changes: Use of the Platform after changes take effect means acceptance of the new Terms.
- Assignment: The Administrator may transfer rights and obligations under the agreement to another entity in the event of Platform reorganization.
- Severability: If any provision of the Terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
- Consumer protections: None of the Terms' provisions exclude or limit Consumer rights granted by mandatory law.
- Effective date: The Terms enter into force on 18 January 2026.
